What an amazing reminder this is...it's a little long, but well worth watching. Even if you only watch the first couple of minutes and don't get sucked in to watching the rest...you have to click play. It's just what I needed to hear today after a 4am blowout diaper (that flipped upside down...while still unwrapped...onto my pillowcase and sheets) and two bedtime accidents (one in the bed and one in the sleeping bag) causing a grand total of three extra loads of laundry.
But this video reminds me why I love my job. I love being a mom. Love, love, LOVE it.

Was it your goal to make a grown hormonal woman cry?!?!?! Cause I just sobbed through that whole thing!
This is all so much more significant to me now as I watch my kids change so much...almost daily and I long to bottle up all of their cuteness knowing that it will all go by so quick!
Booo Whooooo Booooo Whoooo :(
My youngest boy is 8 and my eldest boy is turning 16...there were tears lol!!!
Will pass this on..thx :)
I balled through this ENTIRE video. Did you have to post this the day before we stand in line for Preschool enrollment?! I'm already an emotional wreck b/c of it. No really..this video, like all your posts, really hit home and made me think about what's most important...time with your children, time with your family, the little things, those special moments...
Oy...as if I wasn't homesick enough already! This made me teary...
Girl, how poignant. Kind of what I needed to put into perspective the endless chores that seem so important, but aren't really when compared to loving and providing a home where my kids enjoy being.
Wow, it's been a long time since I was so moved.
I'm on my way to the hospital to visit my dear mom... Two days ago, she said that she'd give just about anything to have the chance to go back for just 1 day to the home where she raised her four girls. Just 1 chance for another of the extraordinary, ordinary days that made her family who we are today. I'm going to call this up on my iPhone and share it with her, first thing. She'll love it as much as I did.
Thanks so much, dearest Kate. This was just perfect. Now you know what it felt like as your mom, on the other side of parenting...
Love,
Mom
