Out with the old...

I don't do a lot of refurbishing of old furniture around here. It's just not my thing, I guess. But I've been sick of the handles on Mike's childhood furniture (that is now in Ryan and Jason's room) for quite a while now.

So this week, I brought these dressers out of the 70s and into the...um...2010s? (What is this decade called, anyway?) I'm sure many of you would love to take a sander or a spray paint can to these pieces, but for now, the knobs are enough for me.

This shorter dresser is now Jason's changing table...

(these pictures make the dressers look different colors, but they actually match...I think...)

the furniture in my daughter's room was my grandma's and has those same handle pulls you just took off of yours. Maybe one day I'll update ours too.

I love the new hardware Katie! It really makes the furniture look updated. It's amazing how just a little refurbishing can go along ways.

The furniture in my youngest daughter's room used to be mine when I was eleven. It was beautiful furniture back in it's day (28 long years ago, LOL), but I am not loving it anymore. My eldest daughter used it for 10 years and now my youngest has used it for 5 years. You have inspired me to change out the handles! It might just help me love that bedroom set again. Thanks!
