#90 - Jog for 30 minutes straight

Last week, when the mornings were still nice, I borrowed a jogging stroller from a neighbor and took the little kids with me on a walk.

The first day, I felt pretty energetic, so after walking a mile and a half, I turned around to come home and decided to jog a bit. I made it about half way home before slowing down to a walk. (PS - the BOB jogging stroller is AWESOME! I barely needed to touch it while jogging and it glided along all by itself)

The second day, I jogged a little further and by the third day, I jogged almost the whole way home. I made it to about 15 minutes or so and had the idea that I could gradually work up to jogging for 30 minutes straight.

This week, I'm back at the gym. Today was my first day with all three kids and, as a sidenote, we are officially paying more for monthly childcare than we are for our membership. Lovely!

I started out on the treadmill walking, then after about 10 minutes, increased the MPH so I could jog a little.

Once the timer hit 30 minutes, the treadmill automatically shut off. I grabbed my magazine off the front of the machine as I tried resetting it to 4.8 MPH before I slowed down too much. In the process, I attempted to steady myself on the stationary sides and proceeded to miss the edge, falling all over myself. It didn't shoot me off the back of the machine, like in this video clip, but it was almost as bad...

After recovering from my embarrassment, I continued running another 10 minutes and made it to my goal of jogging for 30 minutes straight.

#90 on my 101 Goals in 1001 Days is DONE! I'm actually a little shocked, to be honest. I hope I can keep up my momentum with this goal...
