Well, here we are. One year after starting my 101 Goals in 1001 Days list. With 636 days left, I've accomplished 36 of the 101 items listed. Not too shabby! And next week, I am THRILLED to announce that I will be crossing off #16. What is #16 you ask? Let me show you...
.
This is me opening my biggest gift from Mike to date. Keep in mind...I rarely cry. (I've been accused of being dead inside, but seem so much more emotional with each child I've birthed!)
.
(this look is suspicion and confusion with a little "huh?" mixed in...notice my hands holding the tissue in mid-air)

(I finally figured out what the paperwork said...)

(and...here come the waterworks...)

For our 10 year anniversary, he's taking me on a cruise! My first cruise! On FRIDAY!!! Quite the motivation to stop eating like a big fat pregnant lady AND to figure out my breast pump because my mom is graciously staying here with all three kids for four days and I don't want to dry up and I don't want Jason to reject breastmilk upon my return. (*breathe*)
.
I'm still shocked because I thought he was taking me to the Grand Canyon. Which would have been great and is also on my list of 101 Goals in 1001 Days. But a cruise was truly a pipe dream when I added it to my goal list.

What a wonderful gift!
And if you're trying not to eat a ton, a cruise is definitely the worst place to go. So much food and all of it is amazing and tasty and wonderfully prepared. I'm drooling just thinking about it.
Yay! You deserve it. Have a great time...and tell Mike "way to go" for me will ya?
What a great gift!! enjoy your trip!!
You will LOVE it. My husband and I went on our first cruise in June...and went on another one in November. Misc Jenn is right though...better put any diet or weight loss plans on hold until after you return. Between the food and the drinks and the snacks late at night you can plan to gain at least two to five pounds on a four day cruise. Enjoy it though, you will LOVE it.
Awww. Congrats Katie! Your husband is such a sweetheart. And what a special way to celebrate your 10 year wedding anniversary! As all have mentioned, cruise food is AMAZING! I've gone on a cruise once before and cannot wait to go again in the future. So forget watching your food intake and have a great time eating all that's available on the ship. Most importantly, enjoy the alone time with your hubby. Happy Anniversary!
Start pumping between feedings right away, so you can have milk for him while you're gone. Make sure your pump is a strong one, because a hand pump isn't going to cut it for several days. Your milk supply may very well diminish while you're gone, so you may take a bit to build your supply back up. You can try that Mother's Milk tea. How many days are you gone for? I'd hate for him to reject nursing. He's awful young for this feeding change. Good luck with the nursing part.
How fun! Congrats! Where are you going?
You are going to have so much fun! Happy 10 Years!`
Those are great pictures capturing your reaction! I'm really happy for you to get to do something so fun like that!
