Baked Oatmeal Recipe

I got this recipe from my blogging friend, Emily, who got it from Money Saving Mom. Healthy, cheap, quick and easy. I tried it this morning with MUCH less sugar than MSM recommended and replaced the oil with applesauce and it was delicious, but still a little too sweet for my taste. Here is what I recommend...

Baked Oatmeal
1 cup applesauce (can substitute with oil or butter)
½ cup sugar
4 eggs
6 cups oats
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 cups milk

Combine all ingredients in order listed. Pour into lightly greased 9x13-inch pan. Bake at 375° for 30-40 minutes until lightly browned. Can refrigerate overnight before baking. Serve topped with milk.

Yields: Approximately 8-10 servings.

Sorry, no picture this time...just imagine oatmeal in a baking dish. Can you see it in your head? Good - that's what it looks like!

LOL about the visual instead of the picture. You crack me up! I love baked oatmeal! We add all sorts of stuff to ours from dried cranberries to various nuts. :) Just another idea for ya!;) I think your recipe is different than mine so I just might give it a try to see if I like it better!
