Where have I been...?

I feel like all I ever post about lately is meal planning. Currently I am fighting (with all my might) NOT to get sick, so I have a few minutes to update you on the last month or so. I'm tired, I'm achy, I'm hot, I'm cold. I slept on the couch for two hours this morning while the kids watched unhealthy amounts of t.v., then a friend kidnapped them for a few more hours and I got even more rest. I'm popping Ziacam, Airborne and vitamin C like an addict! I do not have time to be sick. Seriously.

What else have I been up to?  Well, I've been out of town twice in the last month, both times for Tastefully Simple conventions. Mike came with me the first time to San Diego and this past weekend, I traveled up to Las Vegas with a few girls on my team.
Even FREEZING San Diego temperatures couldn't keep us from hanging out on the beach at sunset. We spent lots of quality time with my friend Stefanie, her husband and her sweet baby girl. Holding that precious little thing all weekend did not satisfy my need for a baby fix...it gave me baby fever. UH OH!
After almost 2 years in this business, I finally got to meet our founder and CEO  - a fun day for me!!! Mike was asked to speak on a panel in front of the other husbands and I was so relieved to meet her before he did. Because it didn't mean nearly as much to him!!!
We returned home to frost-bitten plants and a thick layer of ice on the top of our pool. Ryan decided he needed a souvenir to keep in the freezer.
At the conference in Vegas, I was asked to speak for the first time. Doesn't the top half of my body look like it's floating...? My black pants just blended right into the background.
Thees are a few of the girls on my team who came with me to Vegas. We laughed till we cried. A lot.
I got a few big recognitions while we were there...one of which was #2 in sales for our region.  I love my "job"!
This is the kids' new way to transport laundry to the laundry room: throw it downstairs, then slide it across the floor with someone riding on top.
You know those movies where the house is chaotic and full of kids, but to add just ONE more bit of crazy, a girl whips through the kitchen on her roller skates?  Well, that's Kaylin lately. She skates EVERYwhere.
We started a homeschooling P.E. class at our new gym. This has been severely affecting Jason's MWF naps, resulting in major meltdowns and sleeping till dinnertime three nights a week. Other than that, he seems to be growing out of his terrible 2s/trying 3s. Not every day is perfect, but I'm seeing the light at the end of this strong-willed tunnel.
I think that's it for now. Thanks for being patient with me while I've been in and out of town. I'm glad to be home for a couple of months and am looking forward to a nice, quiet, boring routine for a while.
