I've been meaning to do this for TWO years, but I can finally cross it off my 101 Goals in 1001 Days list.
I planned "Christmas Camping" into our 25 Days of Christmas this year, but didn't account for the lack of space near the tree. Since we added furniture to our front room, there wasn't enough places to put everyone. We had the big kids sleep in their tent, I slept on the air mattress in a sleeping bag (partially on the carpet, partially in the hall) and Mike resorted to sleeping on the couch in the next room.
I fully intended to make this an annual tradition, but I didn't sleep much that night, so this may become just a kids tradition. I'm getting too old for these reindeer games...and I love my bed too much...

You are such a good mommy! I bet they had a blast.
this is such a neat idea, the kids would love it. can't imagine any of us getting enough sleep that night though. Your tree looks so pretty with the lights twinkling on it.
But at least you tried! : ) I'm such a fuddy-dud I probably would have gotten up in the middle of the night and gone to bed! : )
