Bloggers Block

Have you noticed absence lately?  I think I officially have a case of writer's block.

This week, I've had some fun things I wanted to write about, but Croup has made Jason unusually clingy.  He follows me to the laundry room and lifts his arms in the air to be held.  He crawls after me all over the kitchen while I'm making lunch or cooking dinner.  He sits at my feet, waiting for me to reach down and scoop him up.

This has resulted in very little hands-free time to sit and type, that's for sure.  I didn't even have time to put together my meal plan for last week!  We ate out of the freezer mostly because...well, see paragraph 2.  It's hard to cook one-handed!

I feel like I got nothing done this week.  Dishes piled high, laundry got wrinkled because no one folded it, the to do list grew and grew and grew...

Thankfully, Mike took Thursday off because I had a long dentist appointment and we plowed through a bunch of stuff together that morning.

I'm hoping to write some new posts this week.  Stay tuned and don't give up on me yet...

Hi Katie,

Sorry to your little one isn't feeling well. Enjoy the cuddles while you can though. Miss your posts and looking forward to when you come back. Also love the photos in the post below.

That is sooo my life right now. My house is in such shambles that I feel like it may never get back to normal. Just when I get a second to pick one area up I notice my kids are destroying another. And clingy kids....that's my Maddey. She has severe separation anxiety. So she is like velcro child...constantly on my side.
This too shall pass, this too shall pass.

awe, i hope he is better soon!

maybe you write about struggling with sick little ones

write about the fact that sometimes you've gotta let things go a little bit when little ones are sick- it is ok to put things off until tomorrow

write about the core things you did that got you through this last week while he was sick- the basic things you must do with a sick child

any of these topics would be great reading for a mommy who is looking to relate to someone in times like these!

hope he is feeling better soon. my life kinda crumbles too when i have sick kids... and you know what, you've just gotta roll with it.

1. When it comes to the clingy, croup-infested baby, I just want to shout out a great big 'I hear ya sister!' We went through a couple of rounds of that with Mr T, and I'm just hoping and crossing fingers The Cat hasn't inherited the tendency towards it.

2. When I'm stuck for ideas, I always find a 'random' list breaks me out of the rut. Write about 10 things that are red, 10 things that make you blush, your 10 favorite words to say, 10 household items you'd enjoy smashing against a brick wall, your 10 least favorite sounds, 10 foods that should not exist on the planet, 10 people (past or present, living or dead) you'd like to receive a head massage from .... see? Random, and totally fun! ;-)

Good luck breaking the block.
