Spring Break, Day 3

I'm really enjoying this week of Ryan being home. He's finally stopped asking (over and over and over...) to watch tv or play the Wii and has remembered how to play creatively with his sister. The last few days have made me look forward to having him home all summer!

Today was St. Patrick's Day, which I remembered after everyone was up and dressed (even me). But I made everyone change - we had on every shade of green imaginable.

As it got close to Jason's first nap, I put him on the floor with his pacifier and his blanket to keep him calm, but awake. Within a few minutes, this is what I looked down and saw:

He covered his face with the blanket and his eyelids were drooping - his new "sleeping" position. When he heard me take a picture, his eyes popped open and he pulled the blanket off his face.

I transferred him to his car seat to nap and loaded everyone in the car. We went to Super Target, then met some friends at a gymnastics studio for "open gym" play time.

After the gym, all 7 moms and 20 kids went to Chick Fil A for lunch. A few other moms and even more kids joined us there. It was controlled chaos, but relatively sane...considering.

When Kaylin woke up from her nap, she frosted a pinecone she found yesterday at the park (all I had was chocolate frosting) and covered it with Cheerios for the birds to eat. Not your typical bird feeder!

Then the kids invited our neighbor, Morgan, over to play. This is how I found them in the backyard. I think they were soldiers...???

We ended the day with a walk around the neighborhood after dinner. The weather this week has been beautiful - the A/C even kicked on today because it topped 80 degrees!
