...the kids put out cookies and water for Santa... (they didn't want the milk to get warm)

...and Ryan decided to write him a note.

It says:

"Dear Santa,
Do you forgive me, Santa, for being a little bit bad?
Merry Christmas.
Love, Ryan Michael Roose"
.
Mike wrote a reply on the back of the note after we ate most of the cookies and drank the water. I know it's a bit controversial, but I love that my kids believe in Santa!

I loved seeing these pictures and hearing about your night. So sweet! Darn. I totally spaced putting out the reindeer food! Oh well, I guess we will do that next year. Have a very Merry Christmas!
So cute. This is the first year for us with Kaiden and "Santa." It has been so much fun seeing him get all excited about Santa and leave out the cookies and carrots (for his reindeer).
It's all about teaching them the REAL meaning of Christmas but still letting them have fun and believe in Santa too!
Merry Christmas!
How precious. I hope he believes in him for a long time. We never really did Santa with Kiddo...never made a big deal about him but never forbade him in the house, you know? Just sort of, if he believes, fine, if not, no biggie. Sometimes I wish we had pushed it a little bit more so we would have memories like this. Our Christmas was wonderful...how was yours?
We, too, leave out cookies and milk for Santa and put reindeer food on the lawn. :) My kindergartener was a precious girl this year...she was so excited.
I could not imagine banning such imagination and play from their holiday.
We go to church at Christmastime to worship Jesus (not Santa)...and remember that it is His birthday and celebrate that in a number of ways...so with that perspective...I think it is fine!
Merry Christmas!
