I saw, touched and smelled a 3 year old McDonald's Happy Meal in person while I was pregnant with Kaylin 3.5 years ago. It prompted me to take a health class at church that changed the way I feed my family. We have been to McDonald's exactly twice since I saw that presentation, buying salads, apple slices and milk. I refuse to put that stuff in my kids' bodies.

This video is a little longer than it needs to be, but if you ever eat fast food, PLEASE take 5 minutes and watch it. I don't know about other fast food chains, but McDonald's uses so many preservatives in their "food" that it doesn't rot or deteriorate, even after years of sitting around. YUMMY! Happy dining...

To be honest with you...I don't believe this lady.
I have personally seen first hand burgers and nuggets in my car that have been thrown down by my kids...and maybe didn't get cleaned out for a week. Okay, maybe two. But even in that short time, they shriveled, deteriorated, and got super gross.
And what is this lady talking about "when she was overweight"...she does not look as if she has conquered her vices. Puhleeze.
Now...do I believe that the fast food is loaded with addictive material, msg, and other unhealthy chemicals...absolutely. We will never know the extent of the governement/FDA food fraud that we are submitted to.
Katie...if it has been that long, you really should have yourself an order of McDonald's fries. They might even induce your labor.

Yes, I feed my kids McDonald's. This should not surprise you. I also drink Diet Coke (albeit occasionally at this point.) Now, do I think that McDonald's is a healthy option? No, I do not. But you know, in a pinch, I absolutely go there. Also, the play place is a big draw. Where else can you carry on a conversation with another adult with pre-schoolers in the summer?

I think you need to go have a baby. I did not watch this, but I think you need to bring life into the world so that you do not have time to look at random stuff on You Tube.
And I had a cheeseburger from McDonalds today and I do not feel guilty.
yipes...i've been trying to eat more whole foods, but this - man, this is interesting. i hope it makes me think twice before eating mcdonalds - wow. hope your at the hospital right now. :)
